Mrs. Chitra Nithyanantham from Nattuchalai Village, Thanjavur District, began her journey more than a decade ago as a homemaker with a passion for traditional cooking, preparing every meal using hand down family recipes for generation with freshly ground spices. Her relatives, friends and neighbours admired the authentic flavors of her cooking and often asked for her recipes. Before long, they began requesting the homemade masalas she prepared in her own kitchen. What started as a heartfelt gesture of sharing gradually spread through word of mouth, reaching more families who loved the authentic taste and quality.

Their encouragement inspired her to transform her passion into a business. This marked the beginning of Srikavi Masalas.
